Melanie Glover is a physician assistant who has dedicated her career to providing exceptional care to patients with various neurological conditions. She holds a license to practice in California and is certified by the NCCPA, which is a testament to her expertise and commitment to her profession. Melanie's passion for medicine began when she earned her Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She then devoted several years to veterinary medicine training at Lincoln Memorial University in Cumberland Gap, Tennessee. Despite her deep love for veterinary medicine, Melanie realized her true passion lies in human medicine and changed her training trajectory to reflect this. After completing the Physician Assistant program at Daemen University in Buffalo, New York, Melanie decided to relocate to San Diego, California, to start her career. She joined the team of renowned specialists, Dr. Ian Purcell and Dr. Monali Patel, who have extensive experience in treating various neurological conditions. In her role as a physician assistant, Melanie works closely with patients to diagnose and treat conditions such as epilepsy, parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and other neurological disorders. She is certified in conducting and interpretating Electromyography (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCV), which are specialized tests that allow her to diagnose and monitor patients with nerve and muscle conditions. Melanie is passionate about delivering personalized care to each patient she works with. She is committed to taking the time to listen to each patient's concerns, thoroughly explain their diagnoses and treatment options, and develop a care plan tailored to their individual needs. Outside of work, Melanie enjoys staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She is an avid hiker, runner, and a long-time suffering Buffalo Bills fan.
